SAINT WINIFRED’S, CARDIGAN: |
Slowly, thanks to Paul and his team, the work spreads into the villages with leaflets and personal contacts. Mr and Mrs Rosser reported 16 people (fourteen plus themselves!) at the last Cardigan Mass on Passion Sunday at Noon. The gathering was a healthy mix of students and lay people and we can only thank them with all our hearts for all they do.
The Epistle, Gospel and Nicene Creed were in Welsh and everything else in Latin. Father Simms (unfortunately!!) had to preach in English!
When two or three are gathered in My Name……but, ultimately, as at Cardigan, it is the “two or three” who can go into the highways and byways and bring in many others. Diolch! Diolch! Thanks to you all. + |

SAINT TERESA’S, SOUTHAMPTON: |
The Masses on Saturday, 3rd March and Sunday, 4th March were very well attended and it was, as always, a true delight for Bishop Anthony to be with all our Faithful once again.
The Saturday Mass at Noon was offered for the +Repose of the soul of our dear Harry Docksey.
Bishop Anthony preached on the Saturday on the parable of the “Talents” – not monetary talents, as at face value indicated in the gospel narrative, but our own God-given talents and what we choose to do with them.
Do we bury them in the ground; or do we go out into the world and use them for the benefit of others, not least those who have so much less than we do?
Thanks to Joan and Mary for the delicious buffet lunch and to you ALL for your continuous generosity of financial giving which is an example to the entire Archdiocese. With all our hearts – thank you.
And thank you to Dame Patricia Earl-Williams for all she has done in Southampton over many years.
Please remember Peggy Derwent and Olive Almond in your particular prayers.Their eyesight is now very poor indeed and both ladies are struggling (with much prayer) to come to terms with this situation. |

HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SERVICES: |
Please consult Clergy and Mission Guardians for the times.
There will be ONE Maundy Thursday Mass for the London congregations at Hampstead at 7pm, with all appropriate ceremonies. The vigil at the Altar of Repose will continue, as every year, until midnight.
The Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday will be at Noon at Hampstead; 11am at Peterborough; 3pm at Dundee;
Noon at Abertillery[Catrina’s]; Noon at Manchester [Urmston]; 11am at Hradec; and 11am at Chrudim.
For the times of the Holy Saturday Liturgy do please contact the Clergy. London: Chelsea at 5pm and Hampstead at 11pm. If any of our elderly Faithful are unable to attend any of the services will you please contact Bishop Anthony, Bishop Francis or Father Flynn. Easter Confessions by appointment and Bishop Anthony is prepared to travel in the Greater London area to hear confessions privately.
Stations of the Cross every evening in Holy Week at Hampstead at 6pm, with Benediction on the Tuesday.
We do specially ask our housebound Faithful to say the sorrowful mysteries of the Rosary during Holy Week and to offer spiritually the Stations of the Cross which devotion is in all our prayer manuals. Some of our elderly Faithful have said recently that, as they keep vigil with Christ, they have an extra sadness during Holy Week: that they cannot keep the week as once they did and as they would wish. But if we offer our Redeemer all our love in reparation for our sins and negligences we are keeping Holy Week in a good way!

OUR LADY OF MANCHESTER at MANCHESTER: |
The last Mass on Thursday, March 8th was fairly well attended with eleven people. We thank Penny for all she does. In such a large city it is impossible to reach all those whom we know would love to know about us! The next Mass is Tuesday in Holy Week (6pm) and will be followed by a discussion about the “way forward”. What began as a University Mission has now rather gone out into the suburbs – so should there be two Missions? Only our Manchester flock can decide.
Bishop Anthony’s very close, late friend, Miss Joyce Carpenter, had great devotion to Our Lady under the title of Our Lady of Manchester. This Mission is thus very, very dear indeed to Bishop Anthony’s heart. |

OUR LADY, STAR OF THE SEA, BRIGHTON AND HOVE: |
There were six people at the last Mass in Kemptown (not Palmeira Drive as advertised). Thanks to Jackie Biston for her hospitality.
There is sad news from Hove. Miss Margaret (Gee) Cayley, one of our supporters, fell a month ago and broke her hip. She is recovering well in hospital and is about to be transferred to a rehabilitation centre. Gee sends much love to everyone and asks us for all our prayers. Bishop Anthony will take her the Easter Sacrament.
By the way, the people at Cardigan have advised our Hove stalwarts to do a door-to-door leaflet campaign!! |

PRAYERS... |
We do beg all our people to pray with us the daily intentions, whether for our many Missions or for the more general needs of our suffering world. You can obviously do this as part of your daily Office or Rosary; and we do ask you to remember the day’s intention whenever one of the clergy is present to offer Holy Mass. In this pious way we support each other by loving prayer before the throne of God.

DO PLEASE KEEP THOSE SECOND CLASS STAMPS COMING! |
They are a source of real income to the Archdiocese and help tremendously with the postal bill for the despatch of the monthly Notes. As we’ve already stressed: many of our older Faithful don’t have access to a computer – and thus to our Web Site – and really do rely on the “old fashioned word” as a vital means of communication.
Particular thanks to all who’ve sent stamps during March. Any April donations would also be most welcome. Cheques should be made payable to: “The Traditional Roman Catholic Church” and sent to Bishop Anthony at the address at the top of the Kalendar or to Mr.Simon Gibbs, our Archdiocesan Treasurer, at:
Gibbs & Co., Blackwell House, Guildhall Yard, London,
EC2V 5AE
God will bless you. Holy Mass is offered monthly for all our benefactors. |

SAINT ALOYSIUS GONZAGA, BATTERSEA & CLAPHAM: |
The numbers attending this, another of our student Missions, fluctuates. There were eight at the last Mass on March 20th, Feast of St.Cuthbert, when we prayed for peace in the world and for the Catholics of Northumberland. The Mass was also offered for our friends at St. Aidan’s Catholic Church in Lindisfarne and for Sister Tessa Fisk. May we be with you again!
Thanks to Jill Patsey for her recent hospitality. Just praise God that young people are learning to treasure the Old Latin Mass in all its beauty! +Fiat voluntas Tua, sicut in caelo, et in terra+

ST.DAVID LEWIS, MONMOUTH: |
The next Mass is on Thursday, April 26th at 7pm at Dolly O’Brien’s at Abergavenny. Supper if you are lucky, she says!! On a serious note: it is THE MASS THAT MATTERS.
It is the greatest privilege in Christendom when a priest says Mass in your home – a home then eternally blessed. The fellowship and food, so readily given, are as nothing besides the Presence of Jesus! Mr & Mrs Phil Hopkins ask us to remember them in our prayers and this we gladly do. + Laus tibi Christe! +
