REGARDING OUR MASSES: |
More Masses are offered than those listed and our Faithful in the various Missions will know this. Occasionally the time or date of a listed Mass has to change and was recently the case at Worthing when the Mass on Friday October 17th was changed to Sunday 19th. This was on account
of unforeseen commitments of both Bishop Anthony and Mrs Marie Todd to whom we owe an enormous debt. It was a delight to sing Mass at Worthing on a Sunday at 11am, followed by lunch and meeting, and Bishop Anthony was able to be back in London by 6pm for Low Mass and Benediction. Thanks to all our Worthing stalwarts at the Sacred Heart Mission. The shared lunch was delicious and your enthusiasm for the Old Rite palpable! Marie always says what Catrina and Glenys say: “Don’t you dare thank me! The Old Rite means everything to us!” In these November days please remember our beloved Jessica Boggis who had the courage to found the Worthing Mission in 1999, three years before she died.

STILL REGARDING OUR MASSES: |
Father Flynn says Mass at Abertillery or Six Bells about three times a month and certainly twice in the Rhondda. There are frequent Masses at Brecon, Ystradgynlais and Usk.
The Ebbw Vale Masses are again more than listed. Canon Anson’s Masses at Forfar, Dundee and Arbroath are likewise not all listed, nor are the Masses of our Bishops David and Francis. Our Cardiff Faithful know the times of all Masses said by Father Mark; and our Czech Faithful are similarly informed of everything in our (now five) Czech Missions. All queries to the Clergy or Guardians please.

| SS.COSMAS & DAMIAN,MARYLEBONE: |
Another example of an altered Mass was the recent Patronal Feast at Marylebone which in fact was offered on Sunday, 28th September at 7pm instead of the day before.
Father Emilio was the Celebrant and offered the Mass of Ss Cosmas & Damian. There had at Noon that day been Pontifical Solemn Mass of St. Wenceslaus at Hampstead. Dame Della Edling was present at the Mass at Marylebone which was followed by a short Meeting of The Chapter, before one of Ben’s sausage, mash and onion suppers. We thank Ben for his staunch loyalty over the years.

THE BIT ABOUT THE INVALIDS!! |
None of whom wish to be mentioned as such! Patricia Earl-Williams,
Bishop Anthony’s mother, is about to have a “new” shoulder in Southampton and Della Edling, Chairman of Chapter will have undergone her 2nd knee replacement at University College, London, by the time you read this. Mrs Nancy Phillips, one of our Abertillery stalwarts, is undergoing tests yet still manages to get to Mass. She asks for our prayers. Please pray for these good Christian souls that God may heal them+++

ALL SAINTS & ALL SOULS DAYS: |
All Saints Day is an Holy Day of Obligation. For Mass times please consult Clergy & Guardians. The Feast MUST be observed on Saturday, November 1st and not, as will be the case in so many Novus Ordo parishes, transferred to the Sunday!! Sunday, November 2nd is the 25th Sunday after Pentecost because it is not permitted to keep the Solemnity of All Souls on Sunday. And thus All Souls Day this year is Monday, November 3rd when Clergy are allowed to offer three Requiem Masses for the Dead. Please consult Clergy. All Saints Masses in London: Battersea at Noon & Hampstead at 6pm.
All Souls London Masses: Shepherds Bush at Noon (Midhurst people to attend) and Hampstead at 7pm
All Saints Solemn Masses: Usk at Noon and Ebbw Vale at 5pm[Fr.Flynn]; Forfar at Noon[Canon Anson]
All Souls Day at Abertillery: Solemn Mass at 6pm for the Repose of the souls of all the Italian Faithful who gave all they had of time, energy and money to build the little Catholic community there [Fr.Flynn/Catrina]
As stated above – please consult Clergy. These are the only times known as we print these Notes!!

| OUR LADY OF MANCHESTER AT MANCHESTER: |
The next Mass will be on Saturday, November 15th at Noon at Urmston. Renewed thanks to Penny for all she does. We hope the Rochdale people will come.
Bishop Anthony will travel up the day before and Mr. O’Dowd has very kindly offered to meet him off the train at Rugby which he has done before. At the last Mass in September Miss Lyn Braithwaite received the Sacrament of Confirmation and was formally received into the ArchConfraternity from the Church of England. There was no October Mass but the Manchester Faithful made their way to Rochdale instead.

| SAINT BENEDICT, ABERTILLERY & SIX BELLS: |
The next Mass is on Thursday, November 6th (The Feast of Saint Illtyd) at 11am. Following a light lunch the Congregation will make an afternoon Pilgrimage by car to nearby Llanhilleth and to the ancient mountain Churchyard of Saint Illtyd for the annual Rosary and Vespers. This will be about 2.30pm while it is still light. There will be sufficient car space for everyone.
The Mass will be at Arael Street, Six Bells at Mrs Churchill’s to whom many thanks.

| |
| FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING: |
Sunday, November 23rd. Benediction should follow Mass on that day.
|
| |
| DO PLEASE KEEP THOSE SECOND CLASS STAMPS COMING!! |
They are a source of real income to the ArchConfraternity, helping tremendously with the postal bill for the despatch of the monthly Notes. As we’ve already stressed: many of our older Faithful don’t have access to a computer – and thus to our Web Site – and really do rely on the “old fashioned word” as a vital means of communication. Particular thanks to all who sent stamps during October. Please send a donation for the Holy Souls. Cheques should be made payable to “The Traditional Roman Catholic Church” and sent to Bishop Anthony at the address at the top of the Kalendar or to Mr.Simon Gibbs, our ArchConfraternity Treasurer, at:
Gibbs & Co.,Blackwell House,Guildhall Yard,London,EC2V.5AE.
God will bless you. Holy Mass is offered monthly for all our benefactors.

| HOLY MASS IS OFFERED |
monthly for all on the List. Tell us to delete names of those cured or departed!!
|
| |
| SAINT PIUS X, MIDHURST: |
The last Mass was on Tuesday, October 21st at Noon by very kind invitation of Mr. Tierney of Petworth. Eleven people were present, fewer than usual since some were at work and so unable to come.Bishop Anthony had to be in London that evening so the preferred Midhurst evening time for weekday Masses wasn’t possible. The next Mass will be at 6pm on Thursday, November 20th by kind permission of Mrs Ullathorne who has invited Bishop Anthony to stay the night, for which many thanks.
|
| |
| SAINT BLANE AT ARBROATH: |
Canon Anson’s pattern of Masses continues at this Mission where we have, in fact, our own building. We thank Father for all he does in Arbroath, Forfar and at Dundee where the Masses are very well attended. November 9th is Remembrance Sunday and this year let us remember all those who have lost their lives at sea in the fishing and oil industries.
|
| |
| DURING THIS MONTH OF THE HOLY SOULS : |
