OUR LADY OF PENRHYS, RHONDDA:

Recent Masses continue well attended and we heartily thank Glenys and Dai for all they do; also dear Father Flynn for his tireless dedication to all our faithful in South Wales & Monmouthshire. This month Bishop Anthony will make an overdue Visitation to the Rhondda Friday, April 24th, Feast of Saint Fidelis. Pontifical Solemn Mass at Treorchy at 6pm. Yet this won't give Father Flynn the "day off" that he richly deserves because of course he will be present! The Mass will be followed by supper and Parish Meeting and Bishop Anthony truly looks forward to seeing you all again. We will stay overnight and travel up to Abertillery on Saturday Morning for Solemn Mass there at Noon. saturday, 25th is the Feast of Saint Mark, Evangelist. The Mass will be offered at Catrina Morgan's. we owe Catrina just cannot be expressed. We know the Ebbw vale and Monmouth people will attend. The cardiff Central Faithful have been invited to come up to neighbouring Rhondda on the friday, where they will recieve the warmest of welcomes, Bishop Anthony hopes this year to visit more of our Missions- not least Rochdale, Brecon and Monmouth

SACRED HEART OF JESUS, WORTHING & ST. PIUS X, MIDHURST:

The now established pattern of two day visitation continued in March. there were fifteen people for the Worthing Mass on Friday, March 27th and twenty two present at midhurst at Noon the next day. Bishop Anthony thanks mr and Mrs Todd as well as Angela Ullathorne for their hospitality. The next Masses are in Easter Octave when there will be Solemn Masses at Worthing on Friday 17th April at 6pm and at Midhurst on Saturday 18th at Noon. The Hove people need no invitation to attend either mass and we always look forward to seeing them.

OUR LADY, STAR OF THE SEA, BRIGHTON & HOVE :

Eight people were present at the last Hove Mass on Wednesday 11th March at 1pm. It was followed by benediction. We were delighted to welcome two new attendee, students Tim and Hanna who had previously attended Masses of the Society of St Pius X. The April mass will be at Palmeira Avenue as usual at 1pm on 29th - Feast of Our Lady of good council. thanks so much, Maisie, for all you do. The 1pm time seems to suit everyone, as it does Bishop Anthony.

OUR LADY OF MERCY, HOLBORN:

This Central London Mission has a small yet enthusiastic following and, thanks to Miss Ruth Seagle, Masses seem to have moved permanently to her Russell Square home, We have an attendance of between seven and twelve people with three faithful students. Ruth, an accomplished needlewoman, has made a stunning two-sided altar cloth and sewn all white altar linen. Further, she is slowly collecting liturgical items so that visiting clergy are not obliged to carry a heavy bag each time. Thanks, dear Ruth. You are yourself a great acquisition to the ArchConfraternity!! The next Mass will be on Wednesday, April 22nd at 1pm - feast of saints Soter and caius. Soup, Cheese & Wine Lunch follows

THE MISSIONS IN THE CZECH LANDS:

Our five Missions in prague, Hradec, Chrudim and district, pavliekuv Brod and Brno continue their enthusiastic witness and we owe our clergy an enormous debt. fr Lukas reports a congregation of over thirty at Sunday Solemn mass and we thank the Novus Ordo Catholic Authorities for their love and kindness. Attendances at the Brno Friary now average forty, including several american businessmen who work and live in Brno. Thanks to Father Josef with all out hearts, as well as to Fathers Zezulek, Vojen and Tenkrat. Bishop Anthony hopes so much to be with you this year as usual.

SAINT CURITAN, DUNDEE AND OUR LADY & ST.PETER, FORFAR IN ANGUS

Canon Harry Anson offers two Friday Masses at Dundee which continue to be well attended, although recent snowy conditions have been far from helpful for Father, driving as he must, on hilly roads between Forfar and Dundee. The daily witness at the Aberlemno Oratory proceeds along its usual prayerful routine and The Chapter thanks Canon Anson, who is also Vicar General for Scotland, for all he does, ably assisted by his beloved and trusty dog, Dougal!!   We  thank too Mrs Jenny Edwards for her support and witness in the neighbouring small Mission of Saint David at picturesque Kirriemuir, also in beautiful Angus.

DO PLEASE KEEP THOSE SECOND CLASS STAMPS COMING!!

They are a source of real income to the ArchConfraternity, helping tremendously with the postal bill for the despatch of the monthly Notes. As we’ve already stressed: many of our older Faithful don’t have access to a computer – and thus to our Web Site – and really do rely on the “old fashioned word” as a vital means of communication. Particular thanks to all who sent stamps in February.  Please send a March Donation for Saint Joseph. Cheques should be made payable to “The Traditional Roman Catholic Church” and sent to Bishop Anthony at the address at the top of the Kalendar or to Mr.Simon Gibbs, our ArchConfraternity Treasurer, at:
Gibbs & Co., Blackwell House, Guildhall Yard, London,EC2V.5AE.

God will bless you.    Holy Mass is offered monthly for all our benefactors.

TESSAC, OUR SISTER SOCIETY:

Bishop Robert Mcbride, Metropolitan of the Ecumenical Society of St Augustine of canterbury, Visited Bishop Anthony on Ash Wednesday for talks. Dame Della Edling, Chapter Chairman, joined us later in the day. We were delighted that Bishop Robert joined us for Solemn Mass and Imposition of Ashes that evening and all our people were happy to see him. On 18th March, Bishop Robert raised Mr. Anthony Wiltshire to the Diaconate and bestowed the ancient Order of deaconess upon Mrs Eileen Burzynska of Oxford. We congratulate them and look forward to meeting them in due course.

SAINTS TEILO AND PADARN, BRECONSHIRE:

This mission has three Mass Centres, at Crickhowell, Brecon and Ystradgynlais, Fr. Flynn reports that the latter has the best attendance (around fifteen) with an average of ten to twelve at the others. This is Father's home patch and we know how very much it means to aim to offer daily the Old Mass. Brecon Mass at 6pm on Tuesday 21st April, Feast of Saint Beuno of Wales. Bishop Anthony promises to make an overdue Visitation to Breconshire in late spring or early summer.
